What is IPTV
IPTV is Internet Protocol Television where the TV content is delivered through internet. It has so many benefits over the conventional cable or satellite connection. By using the internet the streaming of programs on the internet can be done easily which is not possible with conventional means. The best part of IPTV is that it can be used with any device which has access to internet like smart phones, tablets and laptops. You can watch TV shows or sports channels even if you are sitting in a country other than in which they are telecasted.
In earlier times the transmission of TV channels through cable was done using coaxial cables. All these coaxial cables were connected to main servers and they connected to users directly. But now due to advancement of technology we have switched from coaxial cables to fiber optic cables and now to internet which has lot more advantages than older systems.
With all these technologies we have come up with a new technology known as IPTV which uses IP for transmission of TV channels over internet. It means that you can watch TV programs anywhere in the world as long as you have access to internet and IPTV subscription service. The advantage of IPTV is that you can pause, rewind and fast forward your favorite shows just as in DVRs and VCRs unlike cable or satellite connections where this option is not available every time due to various reasons like loss of signals, blackout etc.
